Story ideas often begin for Cornelia with jotted notes, sketches, and clippings of pictures that catch her eye. Then those jotted notes—a character’s habits, description of a landscape—grow until she’s finished the first handwritten draft!
Cornelia began sketching more and more as she worked on The Griffin’s Feather, which is no surprise considering the colorful cast of animals, magical creatures, and characters in the Dragon Rider series.
