Cornelia's long-awaited sequel to Dragon Rider has flown into bookstores in the U.S. and Canada. After over a decade, Ben, Firedrake, and friends old and new are back, and part of FREEFAB, a conversation organization that aids magical creatures and the humans who love them.

For this story, Cornelia teamed up with Scholastic, the publisher who put out the original Dragon Rider, to bring Dragon Rider: The Griffin's Feather to life for readers around the world. You can hear Cornelia talk about the book and read a section on this recent podcast.

She talks about why there was such a long break between the first story and the sequel, saying, "I tried [to write the sequel] several times...and it always felt like quite a lame sequel, like repeating myself, and I don't like that for sequels. So, now finally the right story came...hopefully the American dragon riders will feel the same way!"

You can read excerpts of Dragon Rider and Dragon Rider: The Griffin's Feather, and even watch Scholastic's book trailer, here.

Special thanks to Kirkus and Geeks of Doom for the reviews!
