Cornelia's passionate about many things: stories & writing, music, painting, art of all kinds...and social justice issues like climate change, environmentalism, and reducing humanity's negative footprint on the planet we call home. And she loves acting on those passions, whether that means working with the Sierra Club, or reading pirate stories to children at the Getty Museum...or even building a tiny house!
Inhabitat recently wrote about Cornelia's tiny house, a brilliantly designed space by New Frontiers that brings together Cornelia's love of books and nature. Part library, part guesthouse, and part (additional) writing studio, the Owl House sits on the highest point of the grounds around Cornelia's Malibu home and is often filled by visiting artist-friends. It's not only a gathering place--to watch the sunset, play guitar, or read a book while the puppies run about and the donkeys bray--but also a beautiful conversation piece about minimizing human impact on the environment, and how much space we really need.
New Frontiers, the designer-builders of C's tiny house, are even working with the city of Nashville, TN on developing a tiny house community there! Would you live in a tiny house like this one? We sure would!
